Lawrence M. (€œBuddy€) Tomczewski went home to be with Jesus on February 26th 2012 at the age of 84.Buddy was a lifetime resident of Maryland until 2010, when he moved to the Villas of Holly Brook in Marshall, Illinois, where he spent his days enjoying his beautiful pond and country life.Buddy served our country during the Korean War and retired as a skilled mechanic.He was known by all to be a cheerful, kind-hearted man who enjoyed fishing, eating crabs, shooting pool, all of nature and, most importantly, spending time with his loving family.He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Lilas Ruth Tomczewski; four daughters, Sharlene Kay Booth, Mary Carol Swedo, Laura Ruth Brewer and Barbara Lee Olszewski; 14 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 1 God Daughter, Agnes Morgan, and many family members and friends. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 29th at 2 p.m. at Bradbury Cemetery, West York, Illinois, with Pastor John Cutshall officiating. The Prust-Hosch Funeral Home in West Union is in charge of services.
