Leon Lowell Price Jr

Leon Lowell Price, Jr., 68, of Arkansas City, KS, formerly of Robinson, IL, died at 12:02 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2016 in the comfort of his home. He was born February 6, 1948 in Robinson, IL, the son of Leon Price, Sr & Marcine Price, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Charles Price. He is survived by his wife, Robin Price; by his children, Lori Grace, Deena Hagen, Shara Price, Leon Price III, Cassie Price, David Barton, Damen Barton, and Shawn Barton; and by his grandchildren, Vincent Thomason, Christina Thomason, David Grace, Kylea Grace, Zachary Colley, Tristan Colley, Kaitlyn Colley, Sophia Hagen, Zachary Hagen, Tear Meek, Alyssa Meek, Traeh Barton, Scarlett Barton, Isaiha Barton, Colton Price, and Arcadia Price. Leon was a graduate of Robinson High School, and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Navy from 1967-1971. It was here where he learned his trade as an avionics technician, and continued to work on aircraft for the rest of his career. Away from work, Leon enjoyed working on Ford Mustangs and staying active in a number of organizations. He was a member of the Robinson Jaycees, the Robinson Masonic Lodge #250, the Ainad Shrine, as well as the Robinson V.F.W. Post #4549 and Robinson American Legion Post #69. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 17th at the Riverside Cemetery in Newton, IL, with Celebrant Curt Goodwine officiating the service. Military rites will be held at the cemetery and will be conducted by the combined Robinson V.F.W. Post #4549, Robinson American Legion Post #69, Flat Rock American Legion Post #132, and Palestine AmVets Post #33. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements.
