Les Mayhew

Leslie G. Mayhew, 65, of Robinson, died Monday, August 25th, 2014 at his home in Robinson. He was born April 26, 1949, in Beatrice Nebraska, the son of James and Darlene (Carl) Mayhew. He served in the US Army from 1970-1972. He worked in the oil field and then retired from production at Victor Dana. He married Karla Miller in 1969 and she preceded him in death in 1999. He was also preceded in death by his parents, his brother Bobby Mayhew, and his sister Linda Crone. Survivors include his son James Mayhew and wife Sindy of Robinson, his son Kenny Mayhew and wife Michelle of Oblong, 4 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers; Larry Mayhew and wife Sharon of Warsaw KY, Lawrence Mayhew and wife Nancy of Sparta KY, Leon Mayhew of Beatrice, NE, Lonnie Mayhew and wife Barbara of Ramsey IL, and brother Lannie Mayhew of Lincoln NE. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 29th, 2014 at 2:00pm at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson, with Celebrant Curt Goodwine officiating. Burial will follow at the Robinson New Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation from 12:00pm-2:00pm on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association and will be received at the funeral home.
