Linda Yvonne Arnold

Linda Yvonne Arnold, 78, of Robinson, IL, died at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2016 in the comfort of her home. She was born May 6, 1938 in Robinson, IL, the daughter of Martin Goad & Francis (Deaver) Goad, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Jack LeRoy Arnold on February 11, 1955 and he preceded her in death on January 8, 1998. She is survived by her children & their spouses, Dawana & Terry Miller (Robinson, IL), Christian & Kathy Arnold (Robinson, IL), Jeffery & Anna Arnold (Robinson, IL), Jetta Galey (Robinson, IL); by fourteen grandchildren; by thirty-seven great-grandchildren; by three great-great-grandchildren; and by her good friend, James L. Newlin. Linda grew up in Robinson and went on to work as a nurse’s aid at Crawford Memorial Hospital before starting work at Jakel Motor, where she worked for a number of years. Away from work, she could always be found fishing and crocheting, and would often enjoy both at the same time. More than anything, Linda loved spending time with her beloved family, who have lost a matriarch, companion, and friend. A time of visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 2nd at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3rd at the funeral home with Butch Woods officiating the service. Burial will follow in the Hutsonville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Robinson Public Library, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
