Lisa Marie Miller

Lisa Marie Miller, 39, of Robinson, IL, died at 6:12 p.m. (EST) on Friday, January 6, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN surrounded by her family. She was born February 2, 1977 in Paris, IL, the daughter of John & Brenda (Dunlap) Graham. She grew up in Robinson and was a 1995 graduate of Robinson High School. After graduating from Lincoln Trail College with her Associates Degree in 1997, she earned her Bachelor’s in Business Marketing from Eastern Illinois University in 1999. While she substitute-taught following graduation, her life’s work was her children, and she spent many years making a home for them. Later on, she went on to work for Robinson Title Company, where she worked for six years. Away from work, she was a well-known lover of animals, and cared for countless creatures over the years. More than anything, though, she loved and cared for her children. Anyone who knew Lisa knew that she lived for Madison, Caleb, Logan, and Gabe, and was a dedicated mother until the very end. Friends and family alike will remember Lisa as a fighter, who refused to let cancer rob her of living her life. Lisa is survived by her children, Madison Miller, Caleb Miller, Logan Miller, and Gabe Miller; by her parents, John & Brenda Graham (Robinson, IL); by her brother, Mark Graham (Willow Hill, IL); by her sister & brother-in-law, Lori & Bruce Alspach (West York, IL); by her nephew, Graham Alspach; by her niece, Mandi Alspach; by her uncles & aunts, Michael & Vita Graham (Minot, ND), Evelyn Jean & Gerald Lawhead (Dietrich, IL), LaRae & Bob Nethery (Oblong, IL), Bonnie Dunlap (Robinson, IL), Rex Dunlap (Riverton, WY), and Dean & Rhonda Dunlap (Cody, WY); as well as numerous cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wilmer & Evelyn Graham, Mary Dunlap, and Lewis Dunlap; and by her uncles, Larry Hocking, Ivan Graham, and Keith Dunlap. A time of visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 12th at the funeral home. The family would ask that everyone in attendance dress in casual attire, in Lisa’s memory. Burial will follow in the Robinson Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the “Lisa Miller Memorial Fund”, which will be used to help fund her children’s college education. Memorial envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
