Lois Ann Pinkston Miller, 78, of Palestine died at 2:15 p.m. on May 13, 2012 at the Cotillion Ridge Nursing Home in Robinson. She was born August 28, 1933 in Palestine, the daughter of Clarence Corder and Ella Garrard Corder. She worked in production at TRW for 32 years, as a waitress at the Marine Caf for 10 years, and was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church in Palestine. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Illinois basketball fan. Lois married Herbert Pinkston on December 29, 1965 and he preceded her in death on September 1, 1988. She then married Joseph Earl Miller on August 5, 1989 and he preceded her in death on April 3, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her two sisters, Norma Connelly and Maxine Richey.She is survived by her brother, James H. & Opal Corder (Robinson, IL); her sister, Janet & Harry Redman (Palestine, IL); as well as several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Home in West Union, with Pastor Rich Barnett officiating. Burial will be in the York Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of service.
