Lois Dix, 93, of Robinson, IL, died at 12:34 a.m. on Friday, January 20, 2017 at the Paris Healthcare Center in Paris, IL. She was born May 2, 1923 in Robinson, IL, the daughter of Clarence Lamb & Hallie Myers Lamb, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Carl Otto Dix on July 6, 1940 and he preceded her in death on July 27, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her son, Ron Dix on September 23, 2003; by her sisters, Beulah Lamb, Norma Melton, Betty Enlow, and Dorothy Wesner; and by her brothers, Lester Lamb and Gary Lamb. She is survived by her children & their spouses, Sue & Dee Neibarger (Marshall, IL), Wayne & Mary Dix (Annapolis, IL); by her daughter-in-law, Linda Dix (Hutsonville, IL); by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Lois was a longtime employee at L.S. Heath & Sons, before retiring after 38 years of service. Away from work, she enjoyed tending to her house and lawn. She loved flowers, and was known to have beautiful flower beds around her house. It is her family’s wish to have private services. Burial will be held in the Oak Grove Cemetery. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements.
