Lois I. Salee

Lois I. Salee, 83, of rural Oblong, IL, died at 7:30 a.m. (EST) on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. She was born March 18, 1933 in Flat Rock, IL, Randall & Louise (Kent) Preston, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Carl Salee on March 19, 1955, and he preceded her in death on June 9, 2014. She is survived by her son, Larry Salee (Robinson, IL); by her grandson & granddaughter-in-law, Robert & Brittany Salee (rural Oblong, IL); by her brothers, Carl Preston (Hardinville, IL) and Paul Preston (Lawrenceville, IL); as well as several nieces and nephews. Lois worked for Ettelbrick Shoe Factory and was also a telephone operator for a time. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 15th at the Kirk Chapel Cemetery, rural Robinson, with Celebrant Curt Goodwine officiating the service. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the V.F.W. Transportation Fund, with envelopes available at the cemetery and funeral home.
