Lora Louise Lewsader-Hamilton

Lora Louise Lewsader-Hamilton, 70, of Robinson, IL, died at 1:35 a.m. (EST) on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born June 26, 1946 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of John Lewsader & Ella Louise (McHenry) Lewsader, both of whom preceded her in death. Lora married Clifford Ben Hamilton on November 4, 1963, and he preceded her in death on June 23, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her son, John Allen Hamilton on November 2, 1994. She is survived by her sons & their spouses, Daniel & Jeannette Hamilton (Willow Hill, IL), Shawn L. Hamilton & Claudio Cornejo (Chicago, IL), Brian Hamilton (Robinson, IL), and Scott & Kashannda Hamilton, (Willow Hill, IL); by her daughters, Tina Amacher (North Mankato, MN), and Cindy Hamilton & fianc Douglas Martin (Ocean Springs, MS); by her grandchildren, Lori Leach-Butler, John Andrew Deckard, Grace Marie Deckard-Malley, Joseph Anthony Hemmerly, Kamerin Hamilton, Alieciannah Hamilton, and Exzavier Hamilton; by her great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Patrick, Johnny, Dominick, Mia, Preston, and Alexis; by her brothers & sisters-in-law, Johnny & Vicki Lewsader (El Paso, TX), Jerry Lewsader (Colorado) and Daryl & Consuela Lewsader (Manzanillo, Mexico); as well as several nieces and nephews. Lora worked for various employers before becoming a Certified Nurse’s Assistant & Laundry Room Supervisor for Cotillion Ridge in Robinson, where she worked for 20 years before retiring in 2012. Away from work, Lora enjoyed crocheting, decorating and sewing. More than anything, she loved her grandchildren and her God, who were a constant source of joy in her life. A time of visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 16th at the Crawford County House of Prayer in Robinson. A memorial service will follow and will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Don Williamson officiating the service. Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Christian Center (4Cs), with envelopes available at the church. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements.
