Lorie Ann Barrett

Lorie Ann Barrett, 32, of Flat Rock, IL, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at her home. She was born September 13, 1982, the daughter of Sherry Utterback Barrett & Billy Douglas Barrett. She was the website manager for Twiggy’s Treasures. In her free time, Lorie enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially in the garden and also riding four-wheelers and on horseback. She was a lover of animals, as her dog Mel could attest. She will be remembered for her love of all things Illini as well as her love of crafts. She is survived by her son, Clayton Robert Barrett; her mother, Sherry Barrett (Flat Rock, IL); her father, Doug & Donna Barrett (Flat Rock, IL); her sister, Amie & Glen Draper (Princeton, IN); several half siblings and step siblings; grandparents Maurice & Irma Barrett as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A time of visitation will be held from 2:00-5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 16th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will follow at 5:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home with Celebrant Curt Goodwine officiating. There will be a time of sharing for all those in attendance. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lorie Ann Barrett Memorial Fund, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
