Lucille Mae Lloyd, 102, of Robinson, IL, went home to be with the Lord at 11:12 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2016 at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson. She was born August 21, 1913 in Robinson, IL, the daughter of Walter Mullins and Grace Ranbarger Mullins, both of whom preceded her in death. Lucille married Dan W. “Red” Lloyd on July 18, 1933, and he preceded her in death on August 21, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Tom Mullins, Arthur Mullins; by her sister, Rachael Staten; by her son, Jack W. Lloyd; and by her daughter, Phyllis A. King; and by her sons-in-law, Danny L. Cochran and Jerry D. McQuaid. She is survived by her children & their spouses, Dan, Jr. & Barbara Lloyd (Del Rio, TX), Merle Cochran (Robinson, IL), and Darlene L. McQuaid (Robinson, IL); daughter-in-law, Patricia Lloyd (Del Rio, TX); son-in-law, Jerry L. King (Robinson, IL); 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; by her brother & sister-in-law, Manford & Margaret Mullins; her sister-in-law, Juanita Brashears (Flat Rock, IL); as well as several nieces and nephews. Lucille was, along with her husband, “Red”, a longtime member of both the Grand Prairie Congregational Christian Church and the Robinson First Baptist Church. They worked as missionaries in Del Rio, TX, caring for children along the border. She was also active in Crawford County Home Extension, and was a 4-H Club Leader years ago. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting, and in her latter years, she also enjoyed playing board games and cards. She will long be remembered for the love she had and freely gave to her family. A time of visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 27th at the Robinson First Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Trey Reid officiating the service. Burial will follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Robinson First Baptist Church or to the Crawford County Home Extension, with envelopes available at the church and at the funeral home.
