Macie D. Hollinger

Macie D. Hollinger, 76 of Robinson, IL, formerly of Pearisburg, VA., died at 12:48 A.M. Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Long Term Care, Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson. She was born November 5, 1936 in Willow Hill, IL, the daughter of Everett T. Chapman and Hazel Faught Chapman. She was a Registered Nurse and had worked for 25 years for the Giles Memorial Hospital in Pearisburg, VA. She was a member of the Pearisburg United Methodist Church, the Giles County Historical Society, the Red Hat Society, was active in several bridge clubs in Pearisburg and Blacksburg, VA, and was a volunteer at the Giles County VA Chamber of Commerce for 10 years.Macie married Samuel D. Hollinger on June 5, 1954 and he preceded her in death on March 24, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Donna Bogaczyk.Survivors include her two daughters, Samia L. Hollinger, Minneapolis, MN and Holly Ann Hollinger, Christiansburg, VA; her sisters Doris Stifle, Robinson, Louise (Don) Messinger-Turner, Olney, IL; her brother, Kenneth Chapman, Effingham; and many nieces and nephews.Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 24, 2013 the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson. Albert Woods is in charge of services. Burial will be in the Mound Cemetery, rural Jasper County. Memorials may be made to the St. Labrae Indian School and sent to the Goodwine Funeral Home, 303 East Main St., Robinson, IL 62454.
