Margaret Laverne Patton

Margaret Laverne Patton, 83, of Robinson, IL, went home to with the Lord, Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. after several months of declining health. Margaret was born October 24, 1929 in Robinson, the daughter of Bulan (Bill) and Susie Rich Bradbury. She was a homemaker for many years and then worked at L. S. Heath and Sons from which she retired. She was a member of the South Union Home Extension, Duncanville Baptist Church and also attended the Highland Church of Christ.On February 14, 1950 she married Charles Patton, who survives. She is also survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Deborah and David Skidmore and Sharon Long, all of Robinson; 3 grandchildren, Chastity Fitts and husband, Aaron, Robinson, Charity Clark, Robinson, and Chad Skidmore, Gretna, VA; 5 great grandchildren, Savannah and Connor Fitts, and Madysen, Mallory and Macy Clark, Robinson; 4 sisters, Mrs. Lois Wall, Jacksonville, FL, Mrs. Mary Southard, Crawfordsville, IN, Mrs. Alice Laurabelle (Howard) Osborne, Villa Grove; Mrs. Nancy Ruth (Kenneth) Banning, Robinson; sister-in-law, Mrs. Julia Bradbury, Robinson; brother, George Bradbury, Champaign; close cousin, Jim (Carolyn) Bradbury, Robinson; and several nieces and nephews.Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; in laws, Paul and Minnie Patton, brother, John (Jack) Bradbury; infant twin sisters; four brothers-in-law, Carl Patton, Donnie Patton, Carol Walls, and Joe Southard; and a nephew, Ronnie Bradbury.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 24, 2012 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with Pastor David Hyde officiating. Burial will be in the Palestine Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 23, 2012 at the funeral home.
