Margaret Lynn

Margaret Lynn, 96, of West York, IL died at 2:40 a.m. (CST) on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 in the comfort of her home. She was born August 11, 1917 in Greene County, IN, the daughter of Harry LeForge & Martha Floyd LeForge. She attended the Burgoon Baptist Church in Bloomington, IN and the Owensburg Baptist Church in Owensburg, IN. She enjoyed sewing and gardening, and loved her country home in Springville, IN. She married Sam Lynn in Worthington, IN on December 23, 1935, and they shared 40 years together before his death on January 12, 1976. She was also preceded in death by her daughters, Sybil Newlin and Ann Smith; her grandson, Mike Smith; her sons-in-law, Harry Gene Smith and Larry Brush; her brother, Gerald LeForge; and her sisters, Sybil Schwibbe and Norma Lynn. She is survived by her daughters, Martha (Gene) Zellers of Robinson, IL and Janie Brush of West York, IL; her son-in-law, Robert Newlin of West York; eight grandchildren, Becky (Dave) Staley, Kevin (Kelli) Newlin, Jeff (Shirley) Smith, Melissa Wheat, Cindy (Gary) Snyder, Sammi (Glenn) Smith, Brad (Janice) Zellers, and Stacey Zellers; 16 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. A time of visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. (CST) on Friday, August 8th at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Home in West Union. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. (EST) on Saturday, August 9th at the Dishman Cemetery, rural Owensburg, IN. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
