Marian Jeannette Eggers

Marian 'Jeannette' Eggers, 77 of West Union, IL, went to be with her Lord and Savior at home surrounded by her family at 3:05 a.m. Friday, November 14, 2008. She was born March 14, 1931 in Naperville, IL, the daughter of Ray Bennett and Mabel Huddleston Bennett. She was a homemaker, a member of the West Union Nazarene Church, and a charter member of the V. F. W. Post # 5975 Women’s Auxiliary, Marshall.She married William 'Bill' Eggers April 21, 1950 and he survives. She is also survived by 5 daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and Charles Sly, Fair Grange, IL, Judy and Jeff Mahle, Vermillion, IL, Sara and Joe Riggs, West Union, Rosie Fry, West Union, and Laura Eggers, Coldwater, LA; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, David and Sally Eggers, De Soto, MO, Ray and Debbie Eggers, Marshall, and Billy and Sara Eggers, Casey; 16 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, her twin, Mary Florence Taylor, Charleston and Marietta Tipsword, Atlanta, GA; 1 brother and sister-in-law, Lyle & Vyliss Bennett, Atlanta, GA; several nieces and nephews; and companions, Tom and Sebrina.She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 daughter, Linda Gail Liffick; and 9 brothers and sisters.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 16, 2008 at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Home, West Union, IL with Pastor Penny Brown officiating. Burial will be at the Old York Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the West Union Nazarene Church Building Fund with envelopes available at the funeral home.
