Marsha Marie Stanfield

Marsha Marie Stanfield, age 64, of Palestine, IL, passed away while surrounded by her family at 4:45 PM on Friday, November 3, 2017 in Robinson, IL following many years of fighting cancer. She was born March 5, 1953 in Robinson IL, the daughter of Earl & Marion (Fortney) Moade. She was employed by EH Baare for 36 years before retiring in 2012. Marsha was a former member of the Palestine Eagles. Anyone who knew her could attest to the fact that she loved playing Bingo. She also enjoyed going to the Fairview Drive’n Theater, and watched countless movies there through the years. More than anything, however, she simply enjoyed spending time with all of her grandchildren. Marsha married Ralph E. Stanfield on December 29, 1979, and he preceded her in death on November 14, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her father, Earl E. Moade; by her sisters, Earlene Brashier and Dianna Kibler; and by her niece, Amanda Brashier. Marsha is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Shannon & Tim Payne (Palestine IL); by her sons & daughter-in-law, Andrew & Beth Kincade (Leavenworth KS) and Ryan Stanfield (Robinson IL); by her grandchildren, David, Paige, Brittney, Kirk, Logan, Landan and Allison; by her mother, Marion Moade, and by her brother, Leslie Moade. Marsha is also survived by her brother-in-law, David & Bev Stanfield; by her sister-in-law, Cynthia Lawrence; along with many nieces and nephews. She also considered Kendra Traxler and Tami Barrett as her daughters, as well as Jordan, Heather Dawn and Nicolai as her grandchildren. A time of visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 9th at the funeral home with burial following in the Palestine Cemetery. Pastor Larry McCormick will officiate the services. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
