Marshall Vernon Benton, 52 of Jasonville, IN, formerly of Robinson, IL died at 10:54 p.m. (E.S.T.) Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at the I. U. Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. He was born January 12, 1959 in Lafayette, IN the son of Paul Monroe Benton, Sr. and Ida Mae Scott Benton. He owned and operated Benton Appliance Repair and was a member of the V. F. W. Post #4549 Auxiliary.Marshall married Juanita Dunlap Brown on June 19, 1992 and she preceded him in death on August 12, 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents; and 3 brothers, Carl, Chester, and Warren Benton.He is survived by his son, David Benton, Robinson; and his two daughters and his son-in-law, Angie and Travis Ellis, Jasonville, IN and Chastity Benton, TN; 5 grandchildren; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul Monroe Jr. and Donna Benton, Robinson, John F. and Jackie Benton, Robinson; 4 sisters and brothers-in-law, Paulette Pethtel, Marshall, Rosella Watts, Robinson, Debra and Tony Myers, Robinson, and Frances and David Lee, Robinson.Memorials services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2012 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with Curt Goodwine officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday, February 27th preceding the services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association with envelopes available at the funeral home.
