Martha Ann Baker, 67, of Eldorado, IL, died on Saturday, April 11, 2015. She was born November 9, 1947 in Terre Haute, IN, the daughter of Darrell Shute & Peggy McElwain. Marty married Walter “Herb” Baker on August 24, 1968, and he survives. She is also survived by her mother, Peggy Shute (Robinson, IL); her two children, John & Dawn Baker (Riverton, IL) and Jennifer Baker (Eldorado, IL); and her four grandchildren, Brayden Robson, Nevaeh Robson, Grant Baker, Izaiah Baker. She was preceded in death by her father as well as her sister, Patti Snider. Marty was a teacher for a time and also worked as a church secretary, as well as in admissions for Sandwich Hospital in Sandwich, IL. She loved music and enjoyed singing. In her free time, she could be found reading novels or watching soap operas. Marty was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Eldorado, IL. She will be remembered for serving as a wonderful Pastor’s wife, her attentiveness to the needs of her family, and for the love she had and gave to them. She was a beloved daughter, niece, sister, mother, and grandmother. A time of visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson, IL. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15th at the funeral home, with Pastor Kathy Dunn officiating the service. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, the First Presbyterian Church of Eldorado, IL, or to the Donor’s Choice, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
