Martha F. Pierson, 73, of Vincennes, IN, died at 12:50 a.m. (E.S.T.), Thursday, February 28, 2008 in Vincennes, IN. She was born August 22, 1934 in Lawrence County, IL, the daughter of Roy R. Waggoner and Belvie Benson Waggoner. She was a cashier at Hucks and Petro Pantry.She married Marshall D. Pierson on July 18, 1959 and he survives. She is also survived by her daughter, Eileen and Larry Spillman, Lawrenceville; her 5 sons, James Leroy and Shelby Pierson, Seneca, SC, Manuel and Sandy Pierson, Ronoake, TX, Starr and Ruby Pierson, Hico, TX, Marshall Pierson, Jr., Lawrenceville, John and Robin Pierson, Lawrenceville; 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; her sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and H. D. Bonham, Washington, IL; 4 brothers and sisters-in-law, William Lee Waggoner, Vincennes, IN, Roy R. Jr. and Carrol Ann Waggoner, NH, Eddie and Sandy Waggoner, Newburg, Roger and Nita Waggoner, Lawrenceville; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents.Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. (C.S.T.) Sunday, March 2, 2008 with Ronnie Crawford officiating at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Palestine. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. preceding the services on Sunday at the funeral home.
