Martin Edward Brock

December 3, 1933 — November 12, 2014

Martin Edward 'Ed' Brock, 80, of Palestine, IL, died at 1:43 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at the Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson after an extended illness. He was born December 3, 1933 in Palestine, IL, the son of Fuller C. & Marjorie Brock. He attended school in Palestine and college in Ames, Iowa. Through Brock Food Town, he was able to sponsor Palestine youth sports teams for over 40 years. Ed was a man who demonstrated total commitment to his beliefs, who led by example and who commanded enduring respect from all who were fortunate enough to have known him. The community of Palestine has truly lost one of its greats. Ed married Marcia Wiseman on March 14, 1975, and she preceded him in death on June 29, 1992. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his daughter-in-law, Angie Brock; and two granddaughters, Madison Brock and Paige Bolinder.
