Mary Ann Douglas, 94, of Robinson, IL, passed away on July 25, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on November 12, 1930, in Eldorado, IL, she was the daughter of Ruby and Maude (Mullennix) Sisk. She grew up in Princeton, IN, where she graduated from Princeton High School before eventually planting roots in Robinson in 1956—a community she would call home for nearly seven decades.
Mary Ann was no stranger to hard work. She spent over two decades at Victor Dana, working from 1969 until her retirement in 1993. But retirement didn't slow her down—in fact, it only seemed to energize her. She loved her independence, staying active well into her later years. Whether she was out mowing her yard into her late 80s or line dancing with friends (a joy she kept up until age 90!), Mary Ann lived with a kind of energy and enthusiasm that made it hard to believe her age. Summers were often spent poolside, where her home became a hub for family, laughter, and the simple joys of being together.
Above all, Mary Ann's life was about her family. She was the proud mother of Dianne Douglas, Connie Calvert, Karen Douglas, Kenny Douglas, and Kelly Tragesser. Her legacy lives on in her 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as in her brother, Gary Sisk, and her many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Terry Douglas; grandsons, Clarence Douglas and Donovan Douglas; her son-in-law, Billy Calvert; and several brothers and sisters.
Honoring Mary Ann's wishes, cremation will take place, and no public visitation. Private family services will be held at a later date. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
