Mary Evaline (Lamb) Hamilton, age 96, of Robinson, IL, died Wednesday, December 14, at 10 pm at Ridgeview Care Center, Oblong, IL, after many months of declining health. Born March 11, 1920, in Oblong IL, she was the daughter of Palmer and Iva (Ames) Lamb. On June 28, 1939, she married Hobart Hamilton. He preceded her in death October 1999. Mary had a busy career as a farm wife and loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and arts and crafts. She was a member of the Porterville Christian Church (East), Porterville, IL for many years. She was a long-time Sunday school teacher and church pianist. Survivors include her two sons & daughters-in-law, Jerry & Linda Hamilton (Naperville, IL) and Roger & Maureen Hamilton (Centerville, OH); one granddaughter, Molly Hamilton (Berwyn, IL); one grandson, Dallon & wife Elizabeth Hamilton (Prairieville, LA); her sister, Nina Lee Bowen (La Porte, IN); along with several nieces and nephews. Preceding Mary in death were her parents and her brother, Darrel Lamb. A time of visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 19th, at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson, IL. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20th at the funeral home with burial following in the Oblong Cemetery in Oblong, IL. Brother Robert Stephens will officiate the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Missionary Relief Services in care of Saltair Church of Christ, 2124 State Route 222, Bethel, OH 45106, in support of the mission work of her niece, Janeece England.
