Mary S. Bradbury

Mary S. Bradbury, 98, of rural Robinson, IL, died at 5:18 a.m. Sunday, September 20, 2009 at St. Anthony Hospital, Effingham, IL. She was born May 14, 1911 in Licking Township, Crawford County, IL, the daughter of Garnet L. Briggs and Ruth Dugan Briggs. She helped her husband farm and was a member of the Robinson First Baptist Church for over 50 years.Mary married Rubel S. Bradbury on February 14, 1934 and he preceded her in death October 2, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 5 brothers, Paul, Grant, Billie, Cyril, and Robert Briggs; and 2 sisters, Leota Wilson and Flossie Payne.She is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.Private graveside services will be held at the Bradbury Cemetery. The Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Bradbury Cemetery with envelopes available at the funeral home.
