Maynard C. Knight

Maynard C. Knight, 75 of Robinson, IL, died at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson. He was born May 13, 1933 in Arthur , IL , the son of Leonard 'Dick' Knight and Dorothy Badger Knight. Maynard worked 37 years for Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Co. in Brighton, CO., retiring in 1988. He then returned to a consulting position with the company from 1990 to 1995. He helped build the Par 3 golf course in Robinson and with the other individuals who helped in the construction formed the Par 7 fishing group that owned a pond near Porterville . He was also an avid Chicago Bears fan. He married Edrie Vandeveer on June 27, 1952 and she survives. He is also survived by his 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Leonard Bruce and Cheryl Knight, Robinson, Wayne Franklin and Becky Knight, Briggsdale, Co, and KK Kerry and Gloria J. Knight, Robinson; his daughter and son-in-law, Tanya Y. and Les Wilson, Robinson; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.Funeral services will be Monday, October 27th at 11:00 a. m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. His grandson, Pastor Brooks Wilson is officiating. Burial is in the Robinson New Cemetery . Visitation is from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 26th. Memorials may be made to the Carle Clinic Women’s Auxillary Guest House.
