Michael R. Wallace

Michael R. Wallace, 65, of Palestine, died at 8:50 a.m. on April 27, 2012 in the comfort of his home. He was born September 15, 1946 in Terre Haute, IN, the son of Willard Wallace and Alberta Powell Wallace. He served his country in the U.S. Navy, and was a lifetime member of the Marshall American Legion, the Paralyzed Veterans of America, the Disabled American Veterans, and the AmVets organizations. He was also a past member of the Moose Lodge in Marshall.Michael is survived by his son, Christopher Wallace (Marshall); 2 brothers, Lynnzay Wallace (Marshall) and Stanley Wallace (Marshall); 2 sisters, Nadine Reinoehl (Palestine) and Melanie Crampton (Palestine); 1 aunt, Gale Gurthrie (Bloomfield, IN); and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents.Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at the Walnut Prairie Cemetery, Clark County, IL with Pastor Joe Griffith officiating. The Prust-Hosch Funeral Home in West Union is in charge of arrangements.
