Mildred Lucile Morris

Mildred Lucile Morris, 92, of West Union died on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at the Regional Hospital in Terre Haute. She was born on November 4, 1919 in York Township, the daughter of William D. €œBudge€ Baughman & Ethel Haddix Baughman. She lived her life working on the farm and taking care of her family. She was also an active member of the Brick United Methodist Church in rural West Union, and she and her sisters sang at church services and funerals for several years.Mildred married Ralph Edgar Morris on October 28, 1945 and he preceded her in death on January 1, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Jo Morris; her parents; her two sisters, Irene and Maxine Baughman; and her brother in infancy, William Dean Baughman.She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ann & Bill Crumrin (West Union, IL) and Marlene & Joe McCain (Cabot, AR); her four grandchildren and their spouses, Ted & Kim McCain (Bryant, AR), Cathy & Curt Thompson (West Union, IL), Jennie & Brett Gray (West York, IL), and Carrie Crumrin (New Orleans, LA); five great-grandchildren; three cousins and their spouses, Phil & Donna Haddix (West York, IL), Larry & Phyllis Haddix (West Union, IL), and Norma Jean Dettmer (Detroit, MI); as well as several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 22nd at the Brick United Methodist Church in rural West Union, with Rev. Judy Williams presiding over the service. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery in Marshall, IL. A visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21st at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Home in West Union, as well as from 9:30 until service time at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Brick United Methodist Church.
