Nancy I. Wiseman

Nancy I. Wiseman 90, of Flat Rock, IL, died at 12:20 (EST) on Sunday, September 25th at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. She was born October 1, 1925 in Flora, IL, the daughter of Edward & Edith McDowell both of whom preceded her in death. She married O.H. Wiseman on September 1, 1942, and he preceded her in death on March 27, 2016. She was also preceded in death by several siblings, including her special brother, Jack McDowell. She is survived by 4 sons and 1 daughter, Mervin Wiseman (Flat Rock, IL), Paul Wiseman (Flat Rock, IL), Terry & Shirley Wiseman (Robinson, IL), Joyce & Gale Bennett (St. Bernice, IN), and Roger & Barbara Wiseman (Flat Rock, IL); 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; by her sister, Lois Willy (Flora, IL); and several nieces and nephews. Nancy was a homemaker and dedicated her life to raising her children. She will long be remembered as a beloved and respected mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star A time of visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Flat Rock. Graveside services will follow and will be held at the Jones Cemetery in rural Flat Rock with Celebrant Curt Goodwine officiating the service. Memorials may be made to the Flat Rock Community Center with envelopes at the funeral home or mailed to the Community Center.
