Nita Jane Chamblin

Nita Jane Chamblin, 73, of Robinson, IL, died at 12:05 a.m. on Monday, September 7, 2015 at Heritage Health in Robinson. She was born July 1, 1942 in Robinson, IL, the daughter of Jim & Bernita King Chamblin, both of whom preceded Jane in death. Jane is survived by her sister & brother-in-law, Cindy & Pat Sparks (Palestine, IL); her nephew, William James “B.J.” & Mendy Sparks; her nieces, Jessica & Sean Bonesteel, and Erin & Bradley Reinbold; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Kyra, Alexandria, and Brylee Sparks; Makinley, Kaden, Korbin, and Miley Bonesteel; and Liam Reinbold; step-great-nieces, McKayla, Kaysie, Kendra; step-great-nephew, Lane Clements; cousins Roger, Harold, Darold, and Gerald Crampton, Greg Connet, Jim Shaffer, Sr, and Jack Chamblin. Jane was a 1960 graduate of Robinson High School. She went on to graduate from Lockyear Business College in Evansville before going to work for Household Finance in Robinson. She later took a job with First National Bank of Robinson and worked there through the many transitions to Farmer State Bank, Ambank, and Union Planters until her retirement in 2001. Away from work, she enjoyed shopping, bargain hunting, collecting doilies, antiquing, and doing crafts. She also enjoyed travelling, having visited Mexico, Hawaii, Italy, Switzerland, and China. She will be remembered for her beautiful handwriting, her love of class reunions, (which she was always instrumental in planning), and for the love she had for her family, especially her mother, whom she considered her “best friend”. A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home, with Celebrant Curt Goodwine to officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Robinson New Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Robinson High School Alumni Association, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
