Nona Carol Bond

Nona Carol Bond departed this life on October 8, 2016 at the Fort Belvoir Hospital in Virginia. She was born November 9, 1935, the daughter of Ira & Vella (Blevins) Moore. She was formerly of Robinson and graduated from Robinson High School in 1953. She married Harold A. Bond on September 3, 1953. She received a Bachelor in Science degree in Education and Speech from E.I.U., a Master’s Degree from University of Southern Mississippi in Pathology and Speech. She taught English for three years before working as a speech therapist for 19 years. From 1986 until her death, she was a realtor in Manassas, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by a son, H. Brad Bond (WA) and a daughter, Trudy Bond (Front Royal, VA). She is also survived by her aunt, Mary Pfeifer (Sumner, IL); by her cousins, Linda Lentz (Sumner, IL), Marsha Waldrop (Sumner, IL), John Moore (Bridgeport, IL), Steve Moore (Bridgeport, IL), and Jeff Moore (Bridgeport, IL), and Robert Moore (MI). A combined graveside service for Nona & Harold will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at 3:00 PM at the Robinson New Cemetery with Brother Bill Ikemire officiating the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the donor’s choice, with envelopes available at the cemetery. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements
