Park Health Center, Des Moines, WA, from Parkinson's Disease.
Norma was born Sep 8, 1939, in Crawford County to Charles and Helen Knoblett. She married Donald Thompson on Jun 2, 1957.
Norma and Don owned and operated a NAPA Parts Store in Herrin for over 20 years before
retiring to Des Moines, WA for the last 13 years. Norma was a member of the Artisan Guild of Southern IL and exhibited many of her paintings.
She is survived by husband, Donald Thompson, Des Moines, WA; son, Gregory Thompson,
Des Moines, WA; two daughters, Carol Thompson, Des Moines, WA; and Donna and Dale
Milam, Hutsonville, IL; three grandchildren, Amber and Kevin Inboden, Robinson, IL; David
and Ashley Milam, Fairchild AFB, WA; and Jacob and Breann Milam, Olney, IL; four great-
grandchildren, Hunter Inboden, Alexandrea Inboden, Parker Milam and Avery Milam; two
sisters, Bernice Boyd, Thomasville, NC; Betty and Richard Boyd, Oblong, IL; two sister-in-laws, Joan Knoblett, Robinson, IL; and Lois and Don English, Robinson, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Helen Knoblett; and two brothers, Charles Wayne and Richard Knoblett.
It was Norma's wish to be cremated and a graveside service for both Don and Norma will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 3rd at the Jones Cemetery, Flat Rock, IL, a time of visiting with family and friends will follow graveside services at the Flat Rock Community Center. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Flat Rock is in charge of these arrangements.
