Norma Wiseman

Norma Woodard Wiseman, 91, of Ashburn, VA, formerly of Robinson, IL, died on Thursday, December 31, 2015, in Ashburn. She was born September 3, 1924 in Robinson, the daughter of Jessie Harold Woodard & Helen Stewart Woodard, both of whom preceded her in death. Norma married Robert Swern Wiseman on February 1, 1947, after knowing him since kindergarten, and they shared 66 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on August 23, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Frank Richard Woodard, Jack Edward Woodard, and Loren Harold Woodard, and her sister, Doris Anne Woodard Eden. She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Marnie & Kenrick Belling (Annandale, VA); her grandsons, Kevin Scott Belling (Fairfax, VA) and Keith Robert Belling, fiance, Liz Sparks, and her new great-granddaughter, Juliet (Pittsburgh, PA); her sister-in-law, Betty Jean Woodard (Robinson, IL); her sister-in-law, Norma Woodard (Effingham, IL); her brother-in-law, Tom Eden (Effingham, IL); as well as several nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Norma was a beautiful singer who loved to share her gift with those around her, especially alongside her friends in the Sunshine Singers in Orlando, FL. She also enjoyed many years of playing bridge with Robert and their friends. She will long be remembered for her love of reading and tennis and for the love and care she gave to her family. A time of visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will follow and will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday with Pastor Jay Regennitter officiating the service. Burial will follow in the Robinson New Cemetery.
