Norman L. "Norm" McCoy, 63, of Hutsonville, IL, passed away on September 4th, 2026, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. (Central Time) on Saturday, September 19th, at the Hutsonville Cemetery, with Chaplain Dana Whitten, MDIV, officiating. The family asks that attendees come dressed casually. Those who have a "Norm's Village" t-shirt are encouraged to wear it. Camo is welcome in honor of his years of hunting, as is reenactment garb for those who knew him on the field.
Norm spent his working life meeting the needs of others when it mattered most, and the family has chosen memorials with this in mind. His emergency department keeps a community closet for patients who arrive with little to nothing to wear, and clothing may be purchased for it directly by clicking this link. Financial memorials may be made to "Helping His Hands Disaster Relief" for their Ramping Up for Jesus ministry, or to the "Arthur and Ruth Browne St. Vincent House", which houses the families of patients who travel a distance for care. Memorial envelopes will be available at the cemetery.
The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is assisting the family at this time, and a full obituary will be posted soon.
