Pamela Kay (Culp) Preston, 60, of Robinson, died at 3:30 a.m. on Monday, July 1, 2013 in the comfort of her home after a long-fought battle with cancer. She was born on March 6, 1953 in Palestine, IL, the daughter of Floyd Wesley Culp & Mildred Deane Espy. Pamela graduated from LTC in 1992 with four associates degrees. There, she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, and was on the Dean€™s List and won the Chancellors Honor Award. She was a packer for Hershey for a number of years. She was a member of the Flat Rock American Legion Auxiliary and Lawrenceville V.F.W. Auxiliary. She enjoyed the outdoors, specifically fishing and camping.She married Mark Preston on August 14, 1982 and he survives. She is also survived by her daughter, Kristina Bates (Palestine, IL); her stepchildren, Andrew Preston (Indianapolis, IN) & Amber Pettigrew (Sheridan, IN); several grandchildren; her sister, Janet Richardson (Palestine, IL);She was preceded in death by her parents; and her daughter, Katrina Hulfachor.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 5th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine, with Pastor Tim Love officiating. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 1:00 until service time at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Lawrenceville VFW Auxiliary, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
