Pamela Stifle, 66, of Robinson, IL, died at 5:20 a.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the Magnolia Center in Robinson. She was born October 8, 1950 in Robinson, the daughter Bill & Nina Belle (Wolfe) Pritchard, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Dudley & Bessie Wolfe and by paternal grandparents, Cliff & Sarah Pritchard; by her sister, Nita Jo Ducharm; by her niece, Manda Kay Ducharm; and by her son-in-law, David Skinner. She is survived by her daughter, Melinda Skinner & companion Brad Abel (Longview, IL); by her grandchildren, Katrisa Parks (Longview, IL), Kelsee Skinner & companion Aron White (Villa Grove, IL), and Austin Skinner (Longview, IL); by her great-grandchildren, Skyler White, Nova Parks, and Bentley White; by her brother & sister-in-law, Wayne & Sharon Pritchard (Flat Rock, IL); by her sister, Mariann & Terry Roedl (Makanda, IL); by her nieces, Lynn & Doug Knoblett (Palestine, IL), Danielle & Steve Todd (Foristell, MO); by her nephews, Chad Pritchard (Vincennes, IN), Luke Roedl (Saint Charles, MO), Chris & Eryn Stifle (Robinson, IL), and Jason Stifle (Robinson, IL); by five great-nieces and nephews, Autumn Knoblett, Chase Knoblett, Knox Pritchard, Ayla Pritchard, and Maverick Roedl; by her sister-in-law, Rebecca Stifle (Irving, IL); and by her longtime companion and friend, Ron Sanders (Hardinville, IL). Pam was a 1968 graduate of Robinson High School. She went on to work for L.S. Heath & Sons (later Leaf and then Hershey) where she worked for over 40 years, having retired only recently. Away from work, she enjoyed living her life. She loved going to the river (often by mule) and also enjoyed pontoon rides on “the lake” with Captain Ron. She could often be found with friends and family, with whom she enjoyed a great many cookouts. Pam loved to go out to eat with “the girls” and then make them take her shopping! While she had many friends, one of her best friends was her loyal dog, Duke. In talking to Pam, you would be reminded (repeatedly) of how cute her four-legged companion was. You were also likely to get an earful when the topic turned to grandchildren, who she loved with all of her heart. Her great-grandchildren were the apples of her eye. You never knew what she was going to say, but chances were, it would be funny. She will long be remembered for her humor, and also for the love and the care she gave to those closest to her. She simply had a heart of gold. A time of visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 18th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 19th at the funeral home with Ronnie Crawford officiating the service. Burial will follow in the Price Cemetery (Russellville, IL). Memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, with envelopes available at the funeral home. You can also give by going to her memorial wall, found at www.goodwinefuneralhomes.com, where a crowdfunding campaign has been started to help offset funeral expenses.
