Patricia A. Braden

Patricia Ann Braden, 79, of Robinson, passed away at 3:10pm Wednesday, May 21st, 2014 at the United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville. She was born December 16, 1934 in McLeansboro, IL, the daughter of Ebb and Mable Hargrave. She retired from GTE, which she brought to Robinson in the late 60’s. Her hobbies included the outdoors, her flower and vegetable garden, and her main hobby; bird watching. Pat served as the President of the Audubon Society. She married Dan C. Braden in 1952, and he preceded her in death on May 19th, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Jim Hargrave, Lester Hargrave, and one sister Oralee Price. She is survived by her sister, Marilyn Taylor of Sydney Australia, son Danny Braden and his significant other Canda Goodwin of Flat Rock, grandchildren Jennifer Kirchoff-Lorance of Robinson, and Justin Braden of Robinson, great-grandchildren Coty Wright, Brittanie Kirchoff, and Ryan Kirchoff, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral service for Pat will be held on Tuesday, May 27th, at 2:00pm at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson with Pastor Phil Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Palestine. Visitation will be held from 12:00 until the time of service on Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
