Patricia Ellen Deisher

Patricia Ellen Deisher, 84, of Flat Rock, Illinois, passed away on March 25, 2025, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Born on December 17, 1940, in Honeycreek Township, Patricia was the daughter of Ernest and Lucille (Moore) Shidler. She grew up in the countryside near Flat Rock, where her love for family and a quiet, hardworking life took root. She went on to attend beautician school for a time before dedicating herself to caring for others as a nurse's aide at Allen Sanitarium and several area nursing homes.

Patricia was known for her creativity and skill as a seamstress. She especially enjoyed sewing her own scrubs and clothing, often crafting pieces with care and precision. A voracious reader, she always had a book nearby and loved getting lost in a good story. She was a former member of both the Moose Lodge and the VFW Auxiliary, and she held firmly to her Baptist faith throughout her life.

Above all, Patricia loved her family-especially her grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy. She leaves behind many memories stitched together by love, laughter, and a quiet strength.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur Deisher; her son, William Marlow; her daughter, Teresa Keller; her brother, Donald Shidler; and one granddaughter.

She is survived by her children, Christopher & Peggy Deisher, Aaron Deisher, and Norman Andrew Deisher; by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; by her siblings, Andy & Sharon Shidler and Sharon & Rick Potts; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held at Good Hope Cemetery at a later date. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Flat Rock is honored to be entrusted with arrangements
