Patricia (Stoner) Williams of King George, VA, died on January 11, 2017 in King George after a battle with breast cancer. She was born at home on June 27, 1939, in Palestine, IL, to Max & Rosemary Stoner, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her son, Corey Wayne, who was born on March 8, 1977 and died on August 1, 2004. Corey's remains will be laid to rest beside his mother in the Oak Grove Cemetery. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Kay (Duncan) Defoe & husband Jim Defoe (LaPorte, TX) and Wendi Lee (Duncan) Hall (King George, VA). Also surviving are her grandchildren, John Smicker, Jr. (Brusly, LA), James Owen (LaPorte, TX), Danielle (Owens) Morden & husband Jesse Morden (Alvin, TX); her great-grandchildren, Alex Morden and Abagail Morden of Alvin, TX; her sisters, Carolyn (Stoner) Deeming (Redmond, WA) and Pamela (Stoner) Morrison (Loveland, CO); as well as many nephews, nieces and cousins. Patricia graduated from Palestine High School in 1957. She loved to needlepoint-stitch, crochet, and knit, which brought her great satisfaction and joy throughout her life. She will be missed by all who knew her. A graveside memorial will be held at the Oak Grove Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27th (her birthday). The Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations be made to the Oak Grove Cemetery, with envelopes available at the cemetery.
