Patsy Ruth Thompson

Patsy Ruth Thompson, 77 of Hutsonville, IL, died at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN at 10:36 a.m. (est) Monday, June 23, 2014 after an extended illness. She was born December 18, 1936 in Clark County, IL, the daughter of Foster and Eula Parsons Washburn. Patsy was a dental assistant and had worked for the Hutsonville Herald for several years. She was a member of the Hutsonville United Methodist Church, the Ruritan Club, the Community Club, a past member of the Hutsonville Township Park Board, and a member of the Kappa Sigma, Tau Sorority. She married Richard K. Thompson November 17, 1956 and he survives. She is also survived by her son, Dr. Terry Thompson, Palestine, her grand-daughter, Makenzie Thompson and her sister and brother-in-law, Cora and Bobbi Francis, Marshall. She was preceded by her parents and four brothers. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 26th at 10:00 AM at the Hutsonville Cemetery with Rev. Bessie Adams in charge of services. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Hutsonville Township Park and mailed to the funeral home at P. O. Box 129, Palestine or sent to the Park.
