Pauline Miner

Pauline Miner, 91, of Robinson, IL, died at 3:05 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Heritage Manor in Robinson, IL. She was born February 28, 1925 in LaSalle, IL, the daughter of Stephen Larres & Anna Dolanc Larres, both of whom preceded her in death. Pauline married Roy Miner on November 14, 1945, and he preceded her in death on September 10, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her sister & brother-in-law, Dee & Vic Surgess. She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Ray & Donna Miner (Rantoul, IL); her daughter, Jan Ayola (Parrish, FL); her granddaughters, Sarah Miner and Emily Drew; two great-grandsons, Wyatt Drew and Everett Drew; her brother & sister-in-law, Don & Mary Lou Larres (Port St. Lucia, FL); as well as several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Pauline was a longtime employee of Victor-Dana, having worked there for 22 years before retiring in the late 1980s. When she wasn’t busy at work, she could often be found dancing. Pauline loved all kinds of music, especially polka and swing music. She also enjoyed cooking and baking alongside Roy, and they were well-known for her homemade candies and fruitcakes. More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her beloved family, who have lost a wonderful role model and matriarch. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Robinson. A time of visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 19th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 20th at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Robinson New Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Heritage Manor Activities Fund or to the American Diabetes Association, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
