Ramona Nash-Frost, 67, of rural Palestine, died at 6:50 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at the Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson. She was born January 4, 1947 in West York, IL, the daughter of Ivan “Skip” Oliver & Lois Elizabeth Thatcher. A lover of flowers and plants, Ramona was gifted with a green thumb and worked at a number of floral shops and greenhouses. She also enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the Heartland Baptist Church (Hutsonville) for a time, and was a recent attendant of the Pleasant View Church (rural Palestine). She married Dale Nash in 1963, and he preceded her in death in 2004. She then married David “Smoke” Frost on May 18, 2013 and he preceded in death on March 13, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents; her best friend, Sharon Keeler; and her great-grandson, Trace Gordon in 2011. She is survived by her children & their spouses, Tammy & Andrew Riley (Tupelo, MS), Lenn & Carla Nash (West Union, IL), Lisa & Tom Gordon (Palestine, IL); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Paula Bachelor (Hutsonville, IL); her brothers, Bill Oliver (Palestine, IL) and Terry Oliver (West York, IL); as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 7th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson, with Pastor Steve Griswold to officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery, rural Palestine. A time of visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
