Randall "Randy" J. Parker, age 66, of Kingwood, Texas, passed away on December 26, 2025, following an extended illness. He is now with the Lord.
Randy was born and raised in Tinley Park, Illinois. He spent many summers in Flat Rock, Illinois, with his grandparents, Bob and Annabel Miller, and moved there with his family as a teenager.
Randy attended Robinson High School and Lincoln Trail College, receiving an AAS in Petroleum Technology. He then studied Petroleum Engineering at the University of Oklahoma.
Randy was recruited from OU by Schlumberger, where he spent the next 27 years. He retired from Schlumberger in 2020 as the North America DOT Manager.
Randy was a member of Grace Reformed Baptist Church in Porter, Texas, where he was baptized on November 17, 2024.
Randy is survived by his wife, Dana Parker (Benton); daughter, Casey Parker (Brett Schrey), Carbondale, Illinois; sons, Jameson Parker (Beth), Eldridge, Iowa, and Branden Parker, Robinson, Illinois; stepson, Chris Swift (Amy), League City, Texas; grandchildren, Jude, Wren, and Bryan; sisters, Sharon Patterson (Bob) and Elaine Rodgers; and brother, Brad Parker (Cynthia).
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Camilla Parker; son, Blake Parker; and brother-in-law, Larry Rodgers.
A time of visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 2nd, at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Flat Rock a funeral service will immediately follow at 1:30p.m. For those unable to attend, a live stream of the service will be available at https://www.goodwinefuneralhomes.com/live-stream/live-stream.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Humane Society of Southern Illinois, 905 W Cherry, Carbondale, IL 62901. Memorial envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Jones Cemetery.
