Raymond Lee Faith, 75, of Alvin, TX, died at 6:16 p.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center in Webster, TX. He was born April 18, 1940 in Lawrenceville, IL, the son of Charles Raymond Faith & Fern Swayze Faith, both of whom preceded him in death. Raymond married Donna Martin Salesman, on December 12, 2002 and she preceded him in death on September 3, 2009. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Sue Alspach, and Reta Kay Lambert. He is survived by his children, Richard Faith (Flat Rock, IL), Ann Holubek (Robinson, IL), and Tina Harris (Flat Rock, IL); three granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; his siblings & their spouses, Betty & Charles Alspach, Barbara & John Alexander, Charles Lavern & Rose Faith, and Shirley Kay & Tom Baker; as well as several nieces and nephews. Raymond enlisted in the U.S. Army and proudly served his country for twenty years before retiring as Master Sergeant. His distinguished career included his earning a bronze star in February of 1969 while fighting the war in Vietnam. Following his retirement, he went to work for the Tennessee Department of Corrections for four years. He was also very active in the Harmony Lodge #6 in Galveston, TX and the El Mina Shrine in Galveston, TX. His country has lost a true patriot and hero. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 12th at the Tohill Cemetery with Celebrant Curt Goodwine officiating the service. Memorials may be made to the Raymond Faith Memorial Fund, with checks made payable to Goodwine Funeral Homes. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Flat Rock is in charge of arrangements.
