Rebecca Gettinger Van Cleve, 83, of Grant Pass OR, formerly of Palestine, IL, died May 23, 2008 at 5:45 p.m. at Ashley Manor, Grant Pass, Oregon. She was born October 29, 1924 in Palestine, IL, the daughter of William Kenneth Gettinger and Mary Houser Gettinger. She worked as a Missionary and a Registered Nurse in South Korea.She was preceded by her parents and her sister, Mary Gale Gettinger Coates. She is survived by 2 daughters Nani Perricone, Pueblo CO and Heidi Van Cleve-Schmidt, Tucson AZ; 2 sons, Peter Van Cleve, San Jacinto, CA and Andrew Van Cleave, Fullerton, CA; 1 sister, Elizabeth Hoff, Mountain View, MO; 1 brother, William Gettinger, Escondedo, CA, 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.There will be no services. The Goodwine Funeral Home, Palestine is in charge of local arrangements.
