Reva L. York

Reva L. York, 101 of Robinson, IL, died at 12:15 p.m. Monday, December 19, 2011 at the Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson. She was born November 15, 1910 in Wayne County, IL, the daughter of Martin Z. Phillippe and Minnie Simons Phillippe. She was the owner and operator with her husband of the York Grocery and a member of the Robinson First United Methodist Church.Reva married John L. York on September 14, 1929 and he preceded her in death on June 2, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her two daughters, LaDonna York and Rita Holloway; her 2 sisters, Esther Crocker and Ruby Higgins; and her brother, Lloyd Phillippe.She is survived by her son-in-law, Bill Holloway (Robinson, IL); 3 grandchildren and their spouses, Linda & Johnnie Hamlet (Atlanta, GA), Wayne & Janet Holloway (Robinson, IL), Karen & Mike Biggs (Mainville, OH); several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; her sister, Janet Randles, LaPlace, LA; as well as several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 21st at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
