Rhea A. Simons

Rhea A. Simons, 87 of Maryland Heights, MO, formerly of Robinson, IL, died at 3:53 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton, MO. She was born January 30, 1926 in Robinson the daughter of Otis Walters and Claudia York Walters. She was a bookkeeper at the Crawford County State Bank in Robinson. She was also a member of the Robinson First United Methodist Church and a member of the Ruth Lind Circle. Rhea married Charles Dean Simons September 13, 1947 and he preceded her in death on March 13, 2011. She was also preceded by her parents; an infant daughter, Cynthia Lou Simons; and her sister, Roberta Musgrave. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Matt Curtis, Maryland Heights, MO, three grandchildren and their spouses, Alyce and Rob Leytham, Kansas City, MO, Dionne and Todd Minner, Florissant, MO, and Matthew and Hope Curtis, Florissant, MO; 7 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 20th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson with Pastor Tiffany Black officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Burial will follow in the Robinson New Cemetery. The family requests memorials be made to the Robinson First United Methodist Church with envelopes at the funeral home.
