Rhonnie Dee Sills, 77, of Robinson, died at 7:32 a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2015 at the Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN, from complications following a stroke and a heart attack. He was born February 5, 1938 in Chandler, OK, the son of Wayne & Ethel (Hudson) Sills. Rhonnie married Dorcas (Falor) Sills and she survives. He is also survived by his daughter, Susan Sills of Robinson; his brother-in-law, Elwin Falor of Columbus, OH; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister & brother-in-law, Becky & Nick Baker of Oklahoma; and a nephew, Wayne Baker of Louisiana. Rhonnie lived a very fulfilling life. Growing up, he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ardmore, OK. He graduated from Ardmore High School in 1956. He then graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Diesel Engineering Degree in 1960. Upon graduating, he worked for both Welex and Halliburton before becoming a Tret-O-Lite chemical salesman for Petrolite (now Baker Hughes) for 38 years. Rhonnie was a 49-year member of the Robinson Elks Lodge #1188 and an 11-year member of the Robinson Masonic Lodge #250, with whom he was a Past Master, having served in 2008 as Worshipful Master. He holds a 32nd Degree from the Valley of Danville Scottish Rite, and was also a member of both the Crawford County Shrine Club and Shriners International. He will be remembered for his love of anything with an engine (specifically cars, boats, and motorcycles), as well as his love of football. It was Rhonnie's wish to be cremated, with a private Masonic service and a private family celebration of life service to be held at a later date. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to either the Shriner's Children's Hospital, to the Oblong Christian Children's Home, or to Lincolnland Hospice, and may be mailed to Goodwine Funeral Home (303 E. Main St., Robinson, IL 62454).
