Richard Keith Thompson

Richard Keith Thompson, 81 of Hutsonville, IL, died at 10:10 p.m. (EST) on Saturday, April 18, 2015 after an extended illness. He was born March 31, 1934 in Hutsonville, the son of Fred Dean Thompson and Bertha M. Richards Thompson. Richard was a pipefitter and a member of Pipefitters Local 157. He was also a member of the Hutsonville Baptist Church and of the Robinson Elks Lodge #1188. He married Patsy Washburn on November 17, 1956 and she preceded him in death on June 23, 2014. He was also preceded by his parents and by his brother, Myron Dean Thompson. Survivors include his son, Dr. Terry Thompson (Palestine, IL); his granddaughter, Makenzie Thompson (Palestine, IL); his brother & sister-in-law, Allen & Barbara Thompson (Indianapolis, IN); and by his sister, Merle Freeman (Sun City, AZ). Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 23rd at the Hutsonville Cemetery. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine is in charge of arrangements.
