Rick Clough, 58, of Annapolis, IL, found eternal rest Thursday evening at the Saint Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He was born March 8, 1957 in Effingham, IL, the son of Don Clough & Joann Davis. He married Connie Mendenhall on June 8, 1985, and she survives. He is also survived by his son, Buddy Clough (Oblong, IL), Ryan Clough (Robinson, IL), Ken & Jessica Parmenter (Hutsonville, IL), Chad Parmenter (Terre Haute, IN), and Shelli & Kevin Liddle (Robinson, IL); his grandchildren, Chace, Rylie, Ethan, Hope, Lelia, Zach, Zion and Juliette on the way; his sisters, LaJean & Rex Bolin (Oblong, IL) and Carol Henry (Oblong, IL); his in-laws, Ed & Julie Mendenhall (Hutsonville, IL), Twyla Rosson (Bradley, IL), Earnie, Jr. & Paula Mendenhall (Tampa, FL), Lisa & Frank Yager (Oblong, IL), Morrie & Angie Mendenhall (Mahomet, IL); as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was a truck driver with Annapolis Grain for 15 years and was a gifted diesel mechanic. Outside of work, he enjoyed spending time outside, and could often be found mowing his yard or over his charcoal grill. He will be remembered for the love he had for his family and for how bravely he fought over the course of his final days. A time of visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 15th at the Crawford County Christian Center in Robinson. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16th at the church, with Pastors Ray Piersall & Don Williamson to officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Robinson New Cemetery. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Rick Clough Memorial Fund, with checks made payable to Goodwine Funeral Homes.
