Robert "Bob" Lehmann

June 1, 1949 — November 5, 2019

Robert A. "Bob" Lehmann, 70, of Oblong, IL, died on November 5, 2019, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. He was born June 1, 1949, in Blue Island, IL, the son of Carl & Loretta (Keuch) Lehmann. Bob grew up Tinley Park, IL, where he eventually graduated high school. Though he served his community as a police officer in Richton Park, IL for a time, he would dedicate his life to painting, and he took great pride in his work, wherever it took him. Family brought he and his family to Crawford County in the early 1970s, where he co-owned R&L Painting in Oblong alongside his wife, Linda, for 20 years. Away from work, he could often be found tinkering around the house. Recent years found him enjoying coffee with the guys nearly every morning, and this would become a treasured part of his day-to-day life. Bob will be remembered as a dedicated man who was almost as hard-headed as he was hard-working! He could never and will never be forgotten. He married Linda Mitchell on September, 11 1971, and they were married for 43 years before she preceded him in death on September 26, 2014. He was also preceded in death by his father, Carl Lehmann; by his mother & step-father, Loretta & Harry Marzolf; by his mother-in-law, Nina Mitchell; and by his sisters, Wanda Glore and Karlette Lindeman. He is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Misty & Troy Noblit (Robinson, IL); by his brothers, George Marzolf and Delbert Marzolf; several nieces and nephews; as well as his beloved German Shepherd, Kimber. It was Bob's wish to be cremated without public services. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of cremation arrangements.
