Robert G. Hawkins

Robert Gene Hawkins, 73, of Hutsonville died at 7:56 a.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 in the comfort of his home. He was born December 6, 1938 in Robinson, the son of Ira Hawkins & Velma Nash-Hawkins. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1956-1961. Robert was the business agent for Local #1705 Painters and Allied Trades Union.On March 11, 1959, he married Patricia Demarois, and she survives. He is also survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia & Jim Zellers (Robinson) and Nikki & Randy Fancil (Oblong); his son and daughter-in-law, Rob & Becky Hawkins (rural Palestine); seven grandchildren, Meggan & Morgan Zellers (Robinson), Logan Hawkins (Oblong), Zack Tuttle and his wife, Jamie, (Annapolis), Josh Tuttle (Indianapolis), and Ethan & Carson Fancil (Oblong); his brother, Norman (Joe) & Rae Jean Nash (Palestine); his sister-in-law, Kay Hawkins (Robinson; his sister-in-law, Debbie Klemm and her husband Bob (Geneva); his nephew, Sgt Tyson Klemm, (Ft. Knox, KY) and his niece, Kelli Scruggs (Oregon, IL). He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Charles Hawkins; and his sister, Judith Ann Hawkins.Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2011 with Don Richart officiating. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lincolnland Hospice with envelopes available at the funeral home.
